About MINOUX
We are MINOUX!
MINOUX is a theatre organization led by the artist Minou Bosua. MINOUX has been based in Den Bosch (in the south of The Netherlands) since 2018 and is continually developing new forms of theatre genres. Comedy is mixed with documentary, film, musical theatre and visual arts.
A special feature of our productions is that specific groups from society participate in the creation and performance of the production.
In collaboration with social and cultural organizations, MINOUX turns this group into a sustainable social-cultural community for vulnerable, lonely or simply enthusiastic people looking for connection. In this way, existing ways and views on living together are broken down and new possibilities are presented (and consolidated).
Minou Bosua is the artistic source of the company. Together with Corien Baart (artistic advisor) she devises productions and projects. We regularly collaborate with makers from various disciplines, such as Maasja Ooms, Annelies van Wieringen, Mijke de Jong, Lotte de Beer, Eelco Smits.
We are currently working on a theatre trilogy. The source of inspiration for this theatrical quest is the rich, mysterious and often closed structure of the family in which you grow up. From this upbringing, patterns and habits are formed, filled with insecurities and beliefs, behind which the core of ourselves easily becomes hidden.
And we copy those patterns again: we create our own family based on classic examples and pass on old beliefs and fears to a new generation. From a personal expedition, Minou Bosua enters into an open dialogue with fellow makers (professional and amateur) and the public. Discoveries are made together that are tangible for everyone with a mother, a father, or children. The newly found theater language in which, in addition to comedy, documentary and participation play a decisive role, is a huge hit with the audience. Emotion and entertainment go hand in hand and provide food for thought about the way people live together and how they can optimally develop themselves among others.
